The SPECTRA SHIELD ® composite material is manufactured by Honeywell International Inc.

HOME & OFFICE SECURITY APPLICATIONS!
(Safe Rooms, Walls, Desks, etc.)

This lightweight armor STOPS projectiles from handguns (.22Mag to 45 Cal), machine pistols, etc and has been tested up to 7.62 x 51 NATO M-80 Ball (.308 FMJ) at POINT BLANK at 2820 fsp, WITHOUT penetration, ricochet or spalling (The M-80 has over twice the energy @ 200 yards of an AK-47).

Ballistic Boats of Miami Beach, FL now offers complete Armoring Kits to Official Agencies ONLY so that existing fiberglass boats' hulls may easily be armored with the U.S. Military proven SPECTRA SHIELD ® Composite Armor, which is weatherproof, non-magnetic, radar invisible yet weighs less than 3.5 pounds per square foot, is only 3/4 inch thick and can also be affixed to aluminum hulls.

It comes ready to paint after installation in the boat,or with our own low gloss two plies black glass-epoxy (G10FR4) finish.

These kits are tailored for each specific craft, including all necessary stainless steel hardware, a unique fast-set adhesive, special saber-saw blades, brad point modified twist drill bits and even a "handgun" used for applying the mastic adhesive.

SPECTRA SHIELD ® is manufactured using many layers of flexible armoring material which is formed by our Composites Molder into hard armor "Plates" under very high hydraulic pressure and temperatures, The plates are then packed and crated on pallets for shipment to the approved end-user for final on-site installation.

The only thing needed at the boat site are simple hand tools, a 1/4 inch drill, a reciprocating (jig) saw and the ability to trace and cut panels from cardboard patterns taken from the inner cockpit sides of hull and console.

NOTE: This thickness has Not been tested with Military Armor Piercing rounds, as we have been mainly concerned with those weapons commonly used against our Law Enforcement Officers afloat and ashore in the Western hemisphere.

The SPECTRA SHIELD ® composite armor can also be used to protect your control consoles, doors. fuel & propane tanks, batteries, etc. afloat or ashore.

For security purposes Access to Patrol Boat and Agency Information, along with pricing is RESTRICTED.
